Pilots
Three pilot projects were initiated in India, based on the recommendations of the society for Sound Hearing:
- The Pilot phase of the National programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness was launched in India in 2006. This is the implementation of Healthy Ear District in India.
- A Pilot School Screening Programme has been underway in the city of Delhi, India since 2008. This pilot was supported partly by WHO India office and facilitated by the Rotary Club (Qutab) of Delhi.
- Integrating eye and ear care at primary level
